Dr Aleksandr Strat
Dr. Strat trained through Monash Health as a Hospital Medical Officer and Urology Registrar before completing his GP Fellowship training through the AGPT program in regional Victoria. He was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Prior to this, he trained and practised as a urology surgeon overseas for over a decade and completed a Doctor of Philosophy — a background that underpins his surgical skill and men’s health experience, and his particular interest in skin cancer medicine, minor procedures, and no-scalpel vasectomy. He also brings emergency medicine experience from his hospital training, giving him confidence managing urgent and acute presentations in general practice.
Alex genuinely values getting to know his patients over time, building relationships based on trust and care. His warm, reassuring manner helps settle worries for patients of all ages, from young children through to the elderly.
He is committed to teaching, having supervised medical students, interns and junior doctors, and delivered practical education sessions for nursing and ICU staff.
Outside the clinic, Alex enjoys spending time with his family and friends, staying active through fitness and exercise, and mastering the Stratocaster guitar.
